1. langkah-langkah menggunakan Burret


Berdasarkan ukurannya buret dibagi menjadi 3 macam yaitu :

Buret Makro, buret yang mempunyai kapasitas 50 ml dengan skala terkecil 0,1 ml.

Buret Semimikro, buret yang mempunyai kapasitas 25 ml dengan skala terkecil 0,05 ml

Buret Mikro, buret yang mempunyai kapasitas 10 ml dan 5 ml. Untuk buret 10 ml dengan skala terkecil 0,02 ml, dan untuk buret 5 ml dengan skala terkecil 0,01 ml.


Cara menggunakan buret untuk titrasi :


Cuci buret hingga bersih, bebas lemak maupun debu.

Buret diklem pada tiang buret dalam posisi tegak lurus dengan datar air.

Periksa kran buret, kran harus mudah diputar dan tidak bocor. Bila kran sukar diputar atau bocor, lepaskan kran tersebut dan olesilah permukaannya dengan vaselin.

Bilaslah buret dengan larutan yang akan dipakai untuk titrasi, kemudian isi buret dengan larutan yang sama sampai diatas titik nol.

Alirkan larutan dengan membuka kran dan usahakan kolom pipa dibawah kran terisi larutan ( tidak terdapat gelembung udara ).

Atur tinggi cairan sampai meniskusnya tepat pada angka nol atau angka lain dan catatlah angka mula - mula ini.

Mulailah titrasi, tangan kiri memegang kran sambil memutarnya dan tangan kanan memegang labu erlenmeyer yang berisi cairan yang akan dititrasi. Selama titrasi labu erlenmeyer digoyang - goyang dengan gerakan berputar agar larutan yang menetes dari buret segera bercampur. Demikian seterusnya sampai titik akhir dicapai ( ditandai dengan adanya perubahan warna ).

Cara menggunakan buret untuk titrasi :
