Macam-Macam Functional Text  

1. Greeting card (kartu ucapan)

Kartu ucapan berfungsi untuk memberikan ungkapan simpati dan peduli terhadap lainnya. Tujuan:  

1. Memberi selamat atas keberhasilan seseorang.  

2. Untuk menyatakan simpati pada seseorang.  

3. Untuk memotivasi seseorang yang mendapatkan prestasi.  

2. Invitation (undangan)  

Undangan berfungsi untuk mengundang seseorang untuk menghadiri sebuah acara. Adapun bagian-bagiannya terdiri dari:  

1. Alamat (orang yang mengundang)

Syarat-syarat dalam membuat undangan adalah:

1. Jelas dan memudahkan para pembaca untuk mendapatkan informasi dengan cepat.  

2. Singkat, mengundang,dan langsung ke intinya  

3. Jelas dan lengkap

6. Short message (pesan singkat)  

Pesan singkat berfungsi untuk mengirim pesan penting untuk orang lain. Hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam menulis pesan singkat adalah:
